A:

Q:    How do I become a volunteer firefighter?
(top)
A:    Come to Monday night drill at the Heller Road Station and ask for the Chief. Introduce yourself to him and ask
him for an application. If you have any FFI qualifications already, let Chief know and bring a copy of your
certificate with you when you drop the application off at the District Office (same place drill is held.) Make sure
you have a current email address on your application. A lot of our correspondence is done through email.

Q:    When is the District Office closed? (top)

A:
Observed holiday closures. We are closed on Saturday and Sunday.

Q:    Where do I find what's going on with my fire department?
(top)
A:    Board of Commissioner Minutes is your resource for Departmental business. The Board Meeting is an open public
meeting for everyone to attend. Generally, it's the second Tuesday of the Month at 7pm at the Heller Road Station.
        The
home page to this website will advertise the meeting.

Q:    I'd like to request a copy of some records or reports; how do I go about that?

A:    Fill out a Public Record Request and mail it to us. We will send you a copy of your request, or you can pick it up at the
        District Office on Heller Road.

Q:    How do I go about getting a house number sign for my home?
(top)
A:    First of all, you need to live within the boundaries of this fire district which is Libbey Road to Deception Pass
(excluding the city limits). Mail us a check for $10 with a note that says whether or not you want a double sided sign,
your name, the address of the home, and your phone number.  We will make your sign and give you a call when it's
ready for pick up. If you like, we can post it for you on site.

Q:    Who will respond to my emergency and when?
(top)
A:    Volunteer firefighters and POC's. Our insurance information page talks about response time.

a tour of the building, fire trucks, fire boat, ambulance, and rescue truck. With this tour, your group will get age
